Apps: myTracks, Circuit Defender, Delivery Status

  • myTracks 1.3 (free) allows users relate GPS tracks and the photos taken along those tracks to each other. Users can import the GPS tracks from a GPS device for from a GPX file which are then displayed using Google Maps. Version 1.3 allows users to switch form Google to the OpenStreetMap family and also allows location information (City, State, Country, ISO Country Code) to be specified for photos. • Circuit Defenders 1.5 ($10) is a tower defense style game, where the players goal is to defend computer circuits from attacking virus armies. Users can choose to play the built in levels or create and share their own among the Circuit Defenders community. Version 1.5 has introduced three new difficulty levels: Easy, same as default playing mode in previous versions, Hard, all upgrades take time to activate and Crazy where tower projectiles don't go through other towers and board circuitry, so tower placement is much harder. • Back-In-Time 1.1 ($29) offers an alternative method to restoring data using backups created by Time Machine. With Back-In-Time users can see how many versions of each document are available and when they were saved they can also view items that were deleted. The update allows users to change the user interface and regroup features into a single window and a "New Window" item has also been added in the File menu. [Download - 2.9MB]

  • Gamepedia 4.4 ($18) allows users to create a catalogue of their games library. Information can be retrieved from the internet by using either keywords or using an iSight or scanner for the search. The software searches across all of Amazon's sites and can also link you to reviews, walkthroughs and screenshots. The 4.4 update has updated the interface to better fit in with Leopard and also has changed how tags are handled when editing multiple items. The update has also addressed several bugs such as when using the "mark as wish list" command from the menu on a item already marked as wish list which caused a validation bug. [Download - 7.3MB]
