Apps: Calories, DiscLabel, Mail Forward

  • Calories 1.3 ($19) is a nutrition tracking and analysis utility for Mac OS X. The application allows users to select foods from the applications database and then sort them into breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack categories. The update has added several new localizations including German, French and Spanish and now the names of week's, days and months are localized based on your system preferences language settings.   • DiscLabel 5.4 ($36) is a tool for creating, printing and sharing CD labels, jewel case inserts and DVD covers. It works along with iTunes and iPhoto to automatically import media information that was just burned to a CD or photos. The most recent release has added 15 free new templates with designs for the holidays, gifts and businesses. Version 5.4 also features multiple selection in the design list and the ability to sort the design list folders alphabetically. [Download - 12.7MB]

  • Mail Forward 4.1.7 ($20) allows users to forward mail from Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo, and AOL web accounts to any e-mail address. Users may also forward standard POP and IMAP e-mail accounts. Mail can be forwarded for up to 20 separate accounts and for each account a forwarding address can be specified or a default destination can be used. The most recent update has added modifications to accommodate the login change for Yahoo accounts. [Download - 6.4MB]

  • ForkLift 1.6b3 ($30) is a file transfer option that allows users to transfer files using FTP, SFTP, FXP, WebDAV, Amazon S3 and even Bluetooth. ForkLift also includes a batch renaming tool, an application deleter and a feature called droplet, which enables you to create automated upload shortcuts for your most used remote folders, and place them anywhere in your file system. The most recent update has addressed a series of bugs that were affecting performance. Tab reordering will no longer crash, switching from single to dual pane mode will no long produce an empty pane and the SFTP connection bug to certain server types has been fixed. [Download - 5.2MB]

  • MailTags 2.2.3 ($30) allows users to add comments, due dates, projects and priority to their messages from inside the mail viewer window. The metadata can then be used for Spotlight searches, Smart Mailboxes and Mail Rules. The update has fixed and incompatibility where Mail would not launch properly if WideMail or LetterBox was installed but Mail Act-On was not installed. [Download - 3.6MB]
