EasyCatalog InDesign CS4

65bit Software has released a new version of its EasyCatalog tool for Adobe InDesign, now adapted to support InDesign CS4. The app is used to import data from databases into InDesign layouts, saving effort on manual input. Data can come from a variety of sources, including XML files or ODBC databases, as well as CSV or tab-delimited files produced by Microsoft Excel.

An optional Pagination Module can be used to generate documents through full or partial automation, and a Relational Module expands the number of potential sources to formats such as MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server. EasyCatalog is $1,300 new, but the CS4 upgrade is free for purchases after September 1st and before May 2009. A 15-day trial has also been posted.
