Apps: iTunes Dupe Barrier, A Better Finder Rename

  • iTunes Dupe Barrier 1.2.3 ($10) allows users to search through their iTunes and iPod song databases to find duplicate songs. The update has fixed several bugs including incompatibilities with iTunes 8. [Download - 2.1MB]

  • A Better Finder Rename 8.0.3 ($25) is a tool for renaming multiple files. Users can drag files from the Finder and then provide details on how to rename each file. Version 8.0.3 provides the option of swiching off the automatic file name conflict resolution feature. [Download - 5.2MB]

  • Fiwi 1.0 ($1) is an application to help with moving files and folders via two symmetrical Finder windows. Version 1.0 runs much smoother than previous versions and gives users the option to choose row or column format at startup. [Download - 0.82MB]

  • Chipmunk 1.2 ($25) is a tool for quickly finding and removing duplicate files. Files are compared byte by byte to see if they are true duplicates, which can then be revealed in finder or looked at with Quick Look from inside of Chipmunk. Version 1.2 adds an Undo option which can retrieve trashed files. The update has also improved cataloguing speeds as well as added the ability to delete files on file servers. [Download - 2.9MB]

  • Witch 2.0.2 ($13) allows users to access all of their windows by pressing a shortcut then choosing a specific window from an organized list. The update has made minimized windows more noticeable by displaying icons in their own little "docks". [Download - 0.91MB]
