German Word of the Day

  • Kana Quiz ($5) is an application for people in the process of learning Japanese. The application allows users to test themselves anywhere, on customizable content. The user can set up the symbols they would like to test themselves on and each symbol includes an audio sample spoken by a native Japanese speaker.

  • Kanji ($3) is a flash-card application for anyone learning Japanese. It consists of over 2000 Kanji characters that are listed for taking the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. Every character in the set is represented wit ha large image on its own card and tapping on the card reveals the on and kun reading and meaning.

  • iVocabulary ($6) allows users to learn new languages at their own pace. The application offers tools for learning various languages including Spanish, French and German. New words are presented in a slideshow with definitions allowing the user to become familiar with them. Users can than choose to test themselves on the vocabulary and results are tracked so users can see how they progress.

  • Blanks (Free) is an application for learning new English words. A definition is shown and users are given four words to choose from. The application has been designed to look like a piece of paper and the missing word has been torn out of the page.

  • German Word of the Day ($2) provides users with a new German word each day along with its translation and an audio file of the proper pronunciation. An active network connection is required for connecting to the server for access to each day's word.
