ATT surveys iPhone owners
AT&T has inquired with many iPhone owners to explore what features to include on future devices, according to AppleInsider. One section is devoted to the 2.1 firmware update, probing if the customers perceive any enhancement. The survey primarily evaluates satisfaction with AT&T and Apple, although a whole page questions what features or improvements users desire to be included with future iPhones or updates.
Respondents can choose the five features most important to them, including software and hardware enhancements. The list of choices covers several current limitations that have received attention, including text copy and paste, MMS messaging, and support for Flash and Java.
Apple has added new features to each firmware release, although so far it has put any bug fixes at a higher priority. Certain functions, such as directional GPS, have been included in beta versions but not made it into the public updates so far. Although the company is unlikely to produce every item on the list, it is clearly considering the popularity of each feature amongst customers as a factor in future adaptations.
