FreshBooks, HanDBase

  • Detectomatic ($1) allows users to turn their iPhone or iPod touch into a "decision making" tool. The premise of the application is that you enter a task that needs to be delineated to someone then walk around until the phone starts beeping and flashing, whoever is closest at that point receives the task at question. The application actually works by detecting motions by the user. As the user approaches the predetermined target for the task they simply tilt the iPhone slightly and the alarm will start to sound.

  • Traverter ($2) is an application designed to supply travelers with information to help make their trip easier. The app features conversions for currency, clothing sizes, temperature, distance and more. The recent update has added an international dialing code lookup and has fixed a few of the keyboard animation bugs.

  • ReachMD CME (Free) is a tool for healthcare practitioners that provides a way to earn free CME credits through their iPhone or iPod touch. USers can listen to and take CME exams right on the device and the app remembers your history so you can easily find previously looked at exams.

  • FreshBooks (Free) is a time tracking application that allows users to keep track of time spent on various projects or tasks. The app even keeps track of time when not open, so users can answer a call or attend to other matters. Users are also able to add notes to each task to keep track of any important items related to that project.

  • HanDBase Database Manager ($10) gives users the ability to create and manipulate database files on the iPhone. The application also features a "Desktop Connect" feature that allows users to access database wirelessly though any browser. This allows users to load and save HanDBase files to and from their desktops.
