Apps: Backboard, Calories, iSync plugins

Backboard 1.0 (Free) offers a desktop application that works with 37signals Backpack organization and collaboration tool. The application features a calendar which shows events side by side with list items and reminders. Users can also add, edit and search list items and reminders across all Backboard pages. Calories 1.2 ($19) is a nutrition tracking and analysis utility for Mac OS X. The application allows users to select foods from the applications database and then sort them into breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack categories. Version 1.2 has had a few minot interface enhancements, as well as a few new user requested features. Users may now export their diet as a comma separated values document that can be opened and viewed by most major spreadsheet applications. New options for setting goals for all nutrients has also been added to the preferences window and all nutrients have been properly ordered and grouped. [Download - 2.9MB]

iSync plugins 7.1 ($10) allows cell phone owners with phones unsupported for the Mac system to synchronize contacts and calendars. The update adds a new preference pane which makes it easier to add cell phone plugins to iSync and keep them up-to-date. [Download - 5.4MB]

AllBookmarks 3.1 (Free) adds a new item to the Mac OS X menu bar giving users quick access to all of their bookmarks. Bookmarks from multiple browsers are shown and can be selected, with current support for Safari, Firefox, OmniWeb, Camino and Flock. The new version has added support for Firefox 3 along with a better search for saved bookmarks and 1Password Agile Keychain Support. [Download - 2.8MB]
