4GB RAM for new MacBook

Ramjet now offers ram kits for the new aluminum MacBook and MacBook Pro notebooks. The upgrade fills each of the two available slots with a 2GB module, for a total of 4GB. The DDR3-1066 PC3-8500 RAM fits in the 204 pin SO-DIMM slot and is claimed to be compatible with the latest Apple firmware and ships pre-configured for the particular MacBook.

The 4GB DDR3-1066 memory kits for the MacBook and MacBook Pro are available now from Ramjet, with each priced at $140. The modules come with a lifetime warranty.

    Magic number: $100

I'm waiting until Black Friday to upgrade my RAM. Hopefully they'll drop to my magic number of $100.

    ?

Yeah, no kidding. This is great and all, but if you just have apple upgrade it it's only $10 more. I'd expect a lot of people would go that route just for the convenience. (obviously you could theoretically sell your old ram if you did it yourself, but still. . . )
