BucksMe, Small Canvas

  • iZen Garden 1.6 ($2) puts a virtual zen garden in a users pocket, which allows people to place stones, fossils and other elements and then rake the sand into distinct patterns with their fingers. The application features 75 unique types of stones, seashells, fossils and leaves, which have been photographed and rendered to be aesthetically pleasing. The objects also now feature shadows to make them look even more realistic.

  • News ($1) is a virtual newspaper that lets users select a region and then have access to several sources of news. Users can select from over 20 different countries to obtain news from those regions and in its native language. The news gets categorized into common headlines, such as Sports, International, Business and Entertainment.

  • BucksMe ($1) allows users to find the nearest Starbucks location using either the iPhones built-in geo-location or by manually entering a location. The application allows users to select the number of locations to be displayed and whether they want distances to be in miles or kilometers. There is also an included Notes view which lets users keep track of orders so they can always remember what they have tried, or what they would like to try.

  • Small Canvas ($2) allows users to take pictures, draw on top of them and then submit them to an online gallery to be viewed. Small Canvas shares the same servers with PhotoShare, a photo-sharing service designed for iPhone users by the same company.

  • Dougie Moo's Aqua Antics ($4) is an accelerometer based puzzle game that has users combining sets of colored balls floating on a body of water. The game is spread over five different worlds which each hold different obstacles to avoid, including sharks, bombs and blowfish.

      BucksMe is sweet!

Of all of them, I've only used BucksMe, but its pretty awesome. It found more Starbucks than Google did. Well worth the 0.99, probably worth more!
