InQuery RSS now for Mac

Managing Editor has announced that InQuery RSS, its new add-on for the K4 Publishing System, is now available for Mac. The tool allows users to preview and check the status of items in the K4 database from any internet-enabled device with an RSS reader. The feeds can be accessed from a variety of mobile platforms including Palm, BlackBerry, and the iPhone.

To access the database, the web browser or RSS aggregator is navigated to a specified URL. After the user logs in, a list of RSS feeds is presented, containing status information from various K4 objects that can be selected to see a preview or subscribed to for access.

The database is claimed to be secure by requiring user name and password authentication. The permissions are also retained, allowing users to view the same information on their mobile as they would when logged into K4. The InQuery RSS reader for Mac is available now, with pricing provided from the company.
