Adobe launches Flash Player 10, supports CS44, more

Adobe has released Adobe Flash Player 10 for the Mac. Fast on the heels of Adobe shipping its Creative Suite 4, Flash Player 10 arrives with CS 4 integration and collaborative features. It supports custom filters and effects (created in Adobe Pixel Bender), and 3D transformations and animations.

Flash Player 10 also supports GPU hardware acceleration and offers a new, flexible text layout engine. It adds vector data type for better error checking, dynamic streaming and the Speex audio codec, which offers a low-latency alternative for voice encoding.

The new player is available now as a free download. It supports Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, Safari 3 or higher and Firefox 2 and 3.
