Baseline 1.4 released
MildMannered Industries has posted a v1.4 update to Baseline, its Mac disk utility. The software is used to provide a detailed analysis of disk space, including not just drives but the amount consumed by individual files and folders. The software can also compare scans to detect changes in file structure, and similarly point out duplicate files for future deletion.
Other features of the app include QuickLook support, and directory, browser or treemap views. The v1.4 patch introduces scanning of hard links, which permits the proper scanning of Time Machine backups, regardless of multiple volume versions. Baseline runs of Mac OS X 10.4 or later, and costs $20 for a single license, though its use is unlimited in personal scenarios.
