New Macally power devices
Macally has unveiled three new power products for iPods and iPhones: the PowerLink, PowerPal, and JBoxMini. PowerLink connects to the 30-pin dock connector and provides additional power, claimed to add an hour of talk time to an iPhone with a completely drained battery. The device also offers 2GB flash storage and can be charged while syncing the phone or player with a computer using an included USB extension cable.
PowerPal combines a USB and AC charger with a universal power adapter. Plugs are provided for North and South America, Taiwan, Japan, Europe, China, Middle East, Russia, UK, Singapore, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. The device allows for outlet pass-through and includes a spare fuse.
JBoxMini is an external Li-ion battery for iPods or iPhones, claimed to extend usage time by up to four hours, and can be used to power other USB devices. A battery test button, battery level LED, and power switch are built in.
All three products are shipping now, with the PowerLink priced at $50 and the JBoxMini and PowerPal priced at $30.
