Pear Note 1.0 launches
Useful Fruit Software has released Pear Note 1.0, a new note-taking application for the Mac that can record audio and video while the user is taking notes, for immersive recall. Pear Note also supports searching notes for quick location of information, utilizing Apple's Spotlight. The software records all activities during a session, audio and video, user actions, keystrokes and slide changes, all on a timeline that can be replayed, and supports jumping to a specific point.
Pear Note supports Rich Text Notes, QuickLook for Pear Note documents and has a built-in spellchecker. It can import and view slides from Powerpoint and Keynote, as well as PDF files. The software requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher, and a microphone for audio and iSight for video recording. It is available now for $40.
