Photoshop CS4 multi-touch

Adobe's Photoshop CS4, announced earlier this week, includes some interface options that are unique to the Mac, investigation shows. Though not publicly emphasized by its developer, Photoshop now supports multi-touch commands when used on a MacBook Air or MacBook Pro. Images can be zoomed in and out using pinch motions, and rotating gestures will twist content.

Users can also "throw" an image around the screen, in a fashion similar to the iPhone; this involves holding down the spacebar, dragging an image and then letting go, which will send the image a distance before coming to a gradual stop.

Apple is eventually expected to add multi-touch to all of its notebooks, and past rumors have suggested that the technology could eventually be integrated into its desktop computers.
