Oracle expands Apps

Oracle has announced Oracle Business Approvals, Mobile Sales Assistant and Mobile Sales Forecast for the iPhone, coming in November. Oracle Business Approvals includes Oracle Business Approvals for Managers and Oracle Business Approvals for Sales Managers, each providing actionable intelligence for on the go decisions, including info on expenses, purchase requisitions, HR vacancies and job offers for managers and sales info such as pending sales quotes.

Oracle Business Approvals applications consist of a native iPhone application, to be available free from Apple's App Store, and a connector, licensed on a per-user model from Oracle, that integrates with the ERP and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) applications via Oracle, supporting SSL encryption. The app is expected to be available in Oracle's second quarter.

Oracle Mobile Sales Assistant connects CRM users with people and information that support sales opportunities. Mobile Sales Assistant allows users to access and update contacts, users, accounts, new opportunities, leads and review related CRM data. The app integrates with the mapping, phone and email services native to the iPhone.

The Oracle Mobile Sales Forecast provides sales representatives with access to their sales forecast on the iPhone. It will allow sales representatives to conduct "what-if" analysis, add customer information and compare forecasts to quotas on the fly.

Oracle Mobile Sales Assistant and Oracle Mobile Sales Forecast will be free apps available on the iTunes App Store in November. The three new apps will join the already-available Oracle Business Indicators, creating a suite of Oracle iPhone apps.
