Emporio Armani Samsung
Samsung and Italian designer Giorgio Armani have once again collaborated on creating a fashionable handset, although this time the Samsung M7500 Emporio Armani Night Effect candy bar cellphone is branded under the Emporium Armani sub-brand. Apart from the Italian design house's logo engraved on the side and rear of the handset, the Night Effect features a customized ringer sound. The name is derived from the phone's heavy use of LED lights that make it stand out at nighttime.
The quad-band GSM handset supports the HSDPA 3G data network, and features a 2.2-inch OLED display and a 3.2-megapixel camera integrated into a body that's less than a half-inch (12mm) thick. The handset also sports Bluetooth support of wireless headsets or earphones, an integrated FM radio tuner and a microSD card slot. MP3 and WMA digital music files are supported, and there is a 3.5mm audio jack for standard headphones as well as dedicated music controls on the side of the phone.
The phone is due to go on sale in Europe this November, with prices expected to start at the equivalent of about $440.
