Atempo today announced Mac releases of its Atempo Digital Archive (ADA) and Digital Archive for Messaging (ADAM) software, with support for Apple's Xserve and Final Cut Server. ADA allows automated transfer of data from a primary disk to archives. End-users have access to a client interface, which lets them drag and drop files from source directories to archives.
Other features of the software allow elimination of duplicate files, indexing and searching, and a Meter Utility which recognizes content ready to be stored. The integration of ADA with Final Cut Server expands the options for long-term storage devices, and adds tags to the stored content for retrieval.
Atempo Digital Archive for Messaging is a plug-in which presents Entourage users with management options and access to archived messages, all from the mailbox. Pricing has not been provided.
