Sente update captures web
Third Street Software has released the latest version of its academic reference management software, Sente 5.6. A new feature, 'targeted browsing', allows users to import reference data from websites with a single click. References on the sites are automatically recognized by Sente, which adds corresponding target buttons into the web pages. When a user selects the target, the reference information gets automatically uploaded into the user's library.
Targeted browsing supports literature sites including EBSCOhost, PubMed, Web of Knowledge, JSTOR, Project MUSE, HighWire, arXiv, Library of Congress, CiteSeer, Elsevier Science Direct, SpringerLink, Scirus, and ProQuest, with more sites to be added in future versions.
The bibliography format editor has been improved, now allowing creation of more advanced formats. Sente 5.6 for Mac OS X 10.4+ is available from Third Street Software for $130. Users of version 1, 2, or 3 can upgrade for $40, or for free from version 5.
