Abaco Dual Desktop features Atom Dual Core processor

Abaco Dual Desktop

Abaco computers has announced its latest desktop PC, the Desktop Dual, featuring Intel's Atom Dual Core processor. The new Atom chip runs at 1.6GHz, with a 1MB cache, and reported power consumption of only eight watts. The system runs the Ubuntu Linux 8.04 operating system and offers a 250GB 7200RPM hard drive. Abaco claims the Desktop Dual runs without extreme heat or noise.

Input/output connections included network, serial, parallel, and six USB ports. The Desktop Dual is set for availability on September 19 for 350 (~$500 USD).
