WriteRoom for iPhone, notes app, allows Wi-Fi access

updated 03:25 pm EDT, Tue September 9, 2008

WriteRoom now on iPhone

Hog Bay Software has released WriteRoom for the iPhone. The software, inspired by WriteRoom for OS X, creates a simple writing interface, and matches the feature-set of the iPhone's Notes program, while adding abilities. It provides a straightforward black and white display, with an enlarged keyboard in horizontal orientation. It also provides Wi-Fi access to the documents it creates allowing users to browse to and edit notes from a local computer using Safari.

WriteRoom for iPhone is compatible with the iPhone and the iPod touch and is available now at the iTunes App Store for $5. The direct link for WriteRoom will launch iTunes.

    Does it sync

WriteRoom is helpful on a screen where other applications can be distracting. But on the iPhone or iPod - where only one application can be running at a time?
I'll consider it still very useful if it syncs with the desktop version.
