iMarkMySpot creates geo-tags using iPhone GPS

iPhone geo-tag support

iCloseBy.com has released iMarkMySpot, a geo-tagging iPhone app that marks location information for tagging photos taken with a digital camera. The app uses the GPS functions of the iPhone to record precise location data, and can email the information in GPX format, for quick combination with photos once they are uploaded to a computer. The time stamps from the geo-tags can be merged with the digital camera's time stamps (using third party photo management software), allowing the proper geocodes to be tagged to the images.

iMarkMySpot can create travelogs and can email the points with descriptions to mapping software like Google Earth, EasyGPS and other GPS mapping software packages. The software stores, location, time, date and user-input waypoint names for each tag. The GPX data works with low and high-end cameras from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Kodak, Fujifilm, among others. It is available for $1 on the iTunes App Store and works with both the iPhone and the iPod touch.
