futureU SAT prep game

Aspyr Media has announced its new SAT prep video game, futureU. Co-developed with Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions, futureU uses a combination of six games, split into math, reading, and writing categories to build students' knowledge of concepts and information they can expect to be tested on with the SATs. In addition to the core content, a special "Test Skills" section focuses on developing time management and other testing strategies.

futureU tracks progress as the player delves further into the game, with hundreds of questions being used for teaching. The reading section is aimed at increasing vocabulary, identifying ideas, developing reading skills, and recognizing word meanings.

The writing games will cover topics including passive voice, run-on sentences, double negatives, grammar, understanding and correctly using different parts of speech, and more. Math games include algebra, geometry, statistics, probability, polynomials, and sequences. futureU for PC or Mac is available now for $40.
