SVN Client 4.0 ships

Syncro Soft says it has released v4.0 of its SVN Client software, which enables collaborative programming via Subversion. The upgrade brings several changes, such as use of SVN 1.5, which remembers the revision at which a branch is merged. This is considered important for subsequent merges, which only integrate changes made since the last one.

The software now also lets developers be more selective in terms of files and subdirectories for a working copy, filtering by checkout depths such as "recursive," "immediate children" and "this folder only." An "update to revision" command has been added to the Working Copy view, meanwhile, and a merge wizard has been introduced that guides users through three different tasks. SVN Client 4.0 costs a minimum of $59 with a one-year maintenance pack.
