DVKitchen video publisher
DVCreators has released DV Kitchen, its application for internet video publishing. The new SampleLab feature lets users preview the project at different resolutions before it is encoded. It also features a Bitrate Budget Calculator that assists choosing the correct settings. "The user can import a folder of movies and start encoding and uploading with as few as two clicks" claimed designer Josh Mellicker.
The company notes that media uploading and remote FTP server management are also integrated into the application, along with an HTML code generator capable of creating entire pages: entire folders can be encoded all at once, and still pictures can be extracted from video of any size.
In addition, the software supports the newest H.264 video, allowing a range of resolutions from cell phone screen size to full 1080p HD -- along with 77 other export formats, including Flash FLV and Windows Media Video.
DV Kitchen is available for Mac OS X, free for a trial period or $80 to purchase, available from DVcreators.
