AKVIS Enhancer 9.5 retains EXIF info
AKVIS is shipping v9.5 of Enhancer, one of its photo utilities. The app is intended to improve the visible detail in a picture through use of several modes: the main one increases color contrast, while Focus attempts to salvage out-of-focus images through sharpening techniques. A mode in the stand-alone version of the software, HDR, combines multiple exposures to achieve even lighting.
The v9.5 upgrade preserves the original EXIF metadata generated by cameras, as well as other photo-editing programs. This is crucial for sorting purposes, as EXIF tags include dates, exposure settings and more. Enhancer costs $69 as a plug-in, or $81 as a stand-alone package; Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later is required.
