New Mac OS X 10.5.5 builds show dwindling fixes
Two new builds of Mac OS X 10.5.5 have been seeded to developers within the past week, accounts say. The first, 9F25, allegedly contained no significant changes, while the second has addressed only two issues, potentially signifying a wind-down to the update's production. Fixes in 9F29 include a remedy to a problem with Macs and previously-joined AirPort networks, and another described only as relating to a graphics framework. A single known bug remains, one which interferes with searching through messages in Mail.
Previous builds of v10.5.5, the final version of which is expected before October, have targeted some 125 problems in Mac OS X, such as errors with Address Book, iCal, Screen Sharing, X11, MobileMe and Core Animation. The patch is currently said to be very substantial in size, measuring 320MB.

sounds good
A bit of tuning is all good for 10.5 which is pretty nice as it stands.
September 9th..
It will release on September 9th, along with the other goodies.
Printing security fix?
But will 10.5.5 fix the bug which requires an administrator password to create or modify printer queues? That might work at a home, but in a business or school district this is a serious bug. The parental controls and Workgroup Manager have checkboxes to allow normal accounts to add printers, but that isn't honored under 10.5.4.
