MercuryMover goes beta

Helium Foot Software has announced MercuryMover 2.0 as a public beta and expects the final product to ship on September 21st. The software allows users to move and resize windows from the keyboard. Version 2.0 will bring one-key shortcuts, a display that tracks the active window's size and location and an updated interface. The shortcuts will be user assignable; typing the assigned key will move and resize the window to the specified location. The shortcuts can be cloned from an existing window or pre-configured in the software's preference pane.

MercuryMover 2.0 requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher. The public beta is free and v1.1 is available for $20 with a free upgrade to v2.0 when it ships. The price will be $24 after the final v2.0 ships on Sept. 21.
