USBfever announces iPhone power, SIM accessories

updated 09:40 am EDT, Thu August 28, 2008

iPhone battery & SIM tray

USBfever has announced two new products for the iPhone 3G: an external battery, and a replacement SIM tray. The Portable Power Station attaches to an iPhone through the dock connector, and wraps around the back of the device. It features LED lights to indicate power levels, as well as a built-in speaker to compensate for covering the iPhone's own. The battery casing also has a slot for the camera, allowing its full use even when the battery is attached. The replacement SIM tray fits seamlessly into the iPhone 3G's SIM slot, and is available in both black and white.

The Portable Power Station is currently available only in pre-order, as it is expected to ship on September 13th. It will also be available exclusively in black, and cost $50. The replacement SIM tray is available now, and costs $11.

    iPod Touch?

Could this be the solution for adding a speaker to an iPod Touch?

    iPod Touch?

Yeah, how about it? Would it work for the iPod touch? Speaker too? If so, I'll order one immediately! I love how these ads don't address the iPod. Guess usbfever has way too many customers, and it's making way too much money. Maybe MacNN could discuss this omission with advertisers and add value for it's readers.
