Chameleon updated to v6
Akvis has updated its Chameleon software to version 6.0; the new version features improved compatibility with Photoshop Elements 6, a new Emersion mode and a new Montage mode. In Montage mode a user can take a section of a source photo then indicate the parts that should appear on the resulting photo collage. This could be useful for cutting the figure of a person out of a picture and placing it on a new background. Emersion mode is similar to Montage mode as it allows users to combine images to create one seamless photo montage; the difference is that in Emersion mode the pasted fragment is embedded into the background instead of overlaid.
Akvis Chameleon is compatible with Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements, Corel Paint Shop Pro, Ulead PhotoImpact, Corel Photo-Paint and other software. The plug-in is available on its own for $75 or as a part of the Akvis Bundle for $325; the bundle also includes Enhancer, Stamp, Retoucher, Coloriage, Noise Buster, Decorator, Sketch, LightShop, SmartMask and ArtSuite.
