Apple launches 'Off the Air' Get a Mac ad

Fourth Get a Mac ad

Apple has launched another new Get a Mac TV ad, Off the Air. The ad is in fact Apple's fourth of the week, joining three others launched Tuesday. The new one sees PC panicking, trying to force the ad off the air after hearing from a Mac Genius that as a free service, they take care of transferring files from a purchaser's PC. "Fear of switching is the foundation of customer loyalty for PCs," the character says, before attempting to pull down a TV test pattern.

Microsoft recently responded to the Get a Mac series by hiring actor/comedian Jerry Seinfeld -- for a reported $10 million -- to appear in ads with co-founder Bill Gates, beginning September 4th.

Dork Gates is a has been but he still can't accept that. If Seinfeld had half a brain he'd very soon realize that trying to promote a dead duck will do nothing more than help bury his own reputation as well. Microsoft = s***; anyone that promotes Microsoft can stray that far off from s*** either.

Seinfeld THINK DIFFERENT

For all of you that don't remember...

Besides the use of Apple computers prominently placed in his living room on probably almost every episode Seinfeld...

Remember Seinfeld also appeared in a Think Different TV ad and on related posters / banners too...

It was an official 30 second remake of the original 1 minute Think Different TV Ad, and since he was one of, if not the only living celebrity they used, he was probably compensated or volunteered...
I wonder what Apple Legal put in his contract, though it has been like 10 years so any exclusive deal may be over...

MICROSOFT is still looking for an ORIGINAL idea...?

They'll copy all your files over. It surely takes a genius to do that.

So, there were macs in his room. Do you know for a fact Jerry specifically put them there, were they paid to put them there, was it due to that's what the set designer wanted to do?

Oh, and regardless of the people being living or dead, someone would demand compensation to have their likeness used in a commercial. Dead people's likenesses don't automatically become 'public domain'.

Okay the girl in this one was slightly retarded - but this Ad was definitely better than the last 3-pack that showed up earlier this week.
