Smithsonian on iTunes

The Smithsonian Channel today announced that its programming is available on the iTunes Store. Content consists of films, documentaries and limited series, on topics such as nature, technology, history and pop culture. Initial offerings include titles like Stories from the Vaults, Remembering Vietnam: The Wall at 25, Day of the Kamikaze and Nature Tech.

Stories from the Vaults is a series of half-hour programs that feature "rarely-seen treasures" from the Smithsonian. Day of the Kamikaze is a docudrama based on the Japanese suicide attacks from World War II, while Nature Tech is a three-episode series, devoted to the science of biomimetics. These episodes are available from iTunes for $1.99 each.
