Destineer has announced that the latest Age of Empires III expansion pack, The Asian Dynasties, has shipped for the Mac. The pack features three new Asian civilizations -- the Indians, Chinese and Japanese -- each of which receives units unique to its culture. Game modes include a new single-player campaign, which allows players to relive major events in Asian history.
AoE III is a real-time strategy game, featuring historical civilizations struggling for power on a 3D landscape. Gamers work to build up a civilization and guide it to prominence, fighting battles against some rivals while brokering treaties and trade agreements with others. The game offers campaigns and multiplayer options, in addition to skirmishes against AI opponents.
Asian Dynasties retails for $30, and requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, along with a 1.2GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, and a 64MB video card or integrated Intel graphics. An original copy of Age of Empires III is mandatory as well.
