Casper Suite 6.0 update

JAMF software has released Casper Suite 6.0, the latest version of its client management tools. A new Self Service feature allows select users to automatically download and install applications, fonts, and policies that have been packaged and approved by their IT department. IT can also use Casper to make common maintenance tasks, such as flushing caches, available to end users who require it, reducing the need to interact with a help desk.

Casper Suite includes tools for imaging, inventory and patch management, software distribution, remote control, user settings, printer management and software license tracking. New integration with Apple's GSX service provides an automated inventory option. Another new capability offered by Casper is resumable downloads, letting users pause and restart downloading whenever a computer is online.
