UBS on Best Buy iPhones
UBS Equity Research has released a new report, claiming that the impact of iPhones being sold in Best Buy Mobile locations across the US will be minimal. The expansion is seen as a sign that iPhone production is on track, however, and that Apple should have no issues getting iPhone supplies out to 70 countries by the end of the year.
UBS argues that the Best Buy expansion will have a positive effect on overall iPhone revenues, but that the increase will in fact be fairly insignificant. Instead, says UBS, the larger near-term opportunity for Apple right now is international expansion. In order to move EPS by $0.01, each of Best Buy's 970 stores would need to take approximately 200 iPhones in the December quarter, for a total of around 194,000 units; from an initial volume standpoint, this said to be an impractical situation.

How about specialists?
It would be neat if they allowed the Apple Specialist locations sell the iPhones as well. You know, the small independent shops that actually have staff that know and love the products they sell?? C'mon Apple!!
