New 3D software previewed
e-on software today is previewed Vue 7 at Siggraph in Los Angeles. Vue is a 3D-environment solution, which creates, animates, renders and integrates natural 3D visuals, working with Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, Softimage XSI, Maxon Cinema 4D and Newtek LightWave. Vue 7 will feature a third-generation of Vue's EcoSystem technology (for creating nature-based visuals) and Spectral 2 atmospheric engine. Also new is Vue 7's SolidGrowth 4 HD, a new indoor Radiosity engine.
Vue 7 xStream, e-on's high-end solution will feature a new, integrated workflow. All of Vue's tools will be combined within a central application, streamlining both workspace and workflow. Both Vue 7 xStream and Vue 7 Infinite are expected later in 2008. Pricing for Vue 7 has not been announced, while the previous-generation Vue 6, now available, is priced between $700 to $1000.
Siggraph 2008 is a computer graphics and interactive technologies conference in Los Angeles, Ca.. The 35th year of the conference is expecting 30,000 visitors over the five-day conference and three-day exhibition. The conference run August 11-15, with the exhibition running August 12-14 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
