BoxOffice pulled from App Store
Another program has been pulled from Apple's App Store, searching reveals. BoxOffice -- an app created for finding a person's location, and then buying movie tickets from theaters within a range of 50 miles -- can no longer be downloaded from the US storefront it was created for. As with the NetShare incident however, the developer has received no official word from Apple as to why the software was removed.
The developer also claims that he stays in regular contact with all of his data providers, and that none of them have had any issues with the app. He further believes that all of the data used in BoxOffice is licensed by owners as "free for non commercial use," although ticket purchases are ultimately completed through Fandango.

oops
Don't you think Apple is supposed to tell people WHY they are removing their revenue streams?
New name
I know the author changed the application name to Now Playing. Is it on ITMS under that name?
installer
this is why i like installer. big brother is not watching or controlling it. however there is always the "use at your own risk factor". i imagine many of the open source devs are using the iphone development kit to check their work though.
Think its Movie.app
Hmm. Looks like its called Movies.app now?
Movies.app is different
(I think)
Movie.app is different
Movie.app is different and MUCH, MUCH better than BoxOffice every was.
Bad show times
This first version of this app kind of screwed up our night as it said the movie started at 7:00 and it was actually 6:30, and it had all the other times wrong too. I should've known better than to trust a free app....
Not sad to see it pulled. Hopefully he can fix it and repost it.

Well, you're assuming they had it pulled because it wasn't working right. Unfortunately not a good assumption.
