Pirates! coming to OSX

Feral Interactive on Thursday announced that on August 29th it will release Sid Meier's Pirates! for Mac. This game takes players into the life of a 17th century Caribbean pirate captain in an epic, open-ended seafaring adventure. Players are put in positions where they must duel enemy captains and woo fair maidens all in an attempt to make their ship, the Jolly Roger, the most feared and renowned ship in the seven seas.

The game will be released under the Feral Legends label, which aims at bringing previously unreleased, top quality older titles to the Mac. The game will retail for $30 and will be compatible on both PowerPC and Intel-based Macs.

    Pirates!

So a pirate walks in the bar. The bartender says, "Pardon me, mate, but is that your ships steering wheel in your pants?" The pirate responded, "Aaarr, and it's drivn' me nuts!"

But seriously, this could be fun. I remember, as a wee buccaneer, spending much time playing Pirates! on an Apple IIGS. That 1980s game was also designed by Sid Meier.

Yes, jimothy, it's a remade version of the old one... also, the joke made me laugh. I've actually been waiting for this for a while.
