ThoughtWorks ships Cruise app for Agile developers

ThoughtWorks has announced the shipping of Cruise, an integration and release management utility aimed at Agile developers. The software is structured around the concept of pipelines, which forces projects to run through testing and approval gauntlets, including optional staging/production levels.

Cruise Agents can be deployed to environments and used for one-click build promotions, and the software continually integrates new builds while checking for integration errors. When it comes time to finalize a stage, the software compiles and tests an application with the option of testing on Mac, Windows or Linux servers. The software is free with the use of only two Agents, but can cost anywhere between $1,800 and $10,900 with added Agents, and a choice of subscription or permanent licenses.
