FotoMagico 2.5 update

Boinx has released a new version of FotoMagico 2, a presentation app aimed specifically at photographers. Aside from displaying high-resolution images, the software lets users implement pans, zooms and animated transitions, and export them to the web or DVD for the sake of clients. Export options are also present for videos intended to appear on iPods, iPhones and Apple TVs.

The v2.5 update adds support for Apple's iMedia Browswer framework, which lets users pull in audio from GarageBand and iTunes, and images from Aperture and iPhoto, as well as select third-party programs including Adobe's Lightroom. Aperture and Lightroom support requires FotoMagico Pro.

Also included is a new YouTube export option, and a teleprompter function, which displays notes on one monitor while the other holds the actual presentation. Notes are animated, and show which images are next in the queue, with the option to skip to another slide at will. FotoMagico costs $50 for the Express version or $130 for Pro.
