CheckUp 1.2 released

app4mac has released a new update for CheckUp, its Mac troubleshooting utility. The software monitors the performance of various components in a Mac, such as the CPU, RAM, disk drives and network connections. To keep a system under control, users can define rules for raising an alert, such as when a resource exceeds a reasonable allotment, or if a hard drive fails. These alerts function regardless of whether or not the main program is opened.

New in the v1.2 updated is support for detecting Wi-Fi networks, including their relative signal strengths. The interface has been given unspecified updates, and translations are now available for French, Chinese and Italian. Pricing has meanwhile been reduced, from $50 to $30. Mac OS X 10.4 or later is required.
