You Control 1.7 released
You Software says it has released v1.7 of You Control, its utility for Mac OS X. The program lets people create custom menus in the operating system, which can be placed in locations such as the Menu Bar, a corner of the screen, or in the middle when triggered by a hotkey. Users can launch any file, folder or application present on their Mac.
New to the software is an upgraded Calendar module, which handles functions relating to iCal. The patch adds support for calendars delivered via a CalDAV server, such as Mac OS X Server; in Leopard, the module now also improves handling of To Do lists created through Mail.
Fixes have been propagated to You Control: Fonts 1.3.1 and You Control: Tunes 1.7 as well, and include Word 2008 compatibility for the former. The general You Control platform requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later, and costs $30.
