Forums: new MBPs, MobileMe, iPhone games,

Forum roundup: Rumors about the possibility of new MacBook Pro models have MacNN forum goers discussing upgrade possibilities and most users expect to see new models arriving in anywhere from two weeks, to right after the start of the new school year. With all the problems surrounding the release of MoblieMe, Apple has announced a free automatic 30-day extension to the MobileMe service for current subscribers much to the delight of some of our forum users.

Others believe that this free extension is not enough though, as one Fresh-Faced Recruit pointed out, and a petition has been started encouraging Apple to label the new MobileMe service as 'Beta', also requesting that Apple refund the subscription cost until it is fully functional. The opinion expressed in this thread is that "iPhone gaming rocks", with a list of titles that include Aurora Feint, Tap Tap Revenge, Chopper, Aqua Forest and recently announced Star Wars, iPhone owners will have more than enough to keep them busy. MacNN political war lounge members discuss Obama's slogan "To know me is to love me" as well as talk about questionable material in a satirical cartoon recently published in The New Yorker.
