E. Universalis on iPhone

An iPhone and iPod touch version of Europa Universalis is in development, HSC and Virtual Programming have announced. The port is being conducted by the former company, and follows the latter's recent conversion of Europa Universalis: Rome from the PC to Mac OS X. As coding of the iPhone Universalis port has just begun, no App Store prices or release dates have so far been published.

The original game is a grand strategy title set in midsts of European history, beginning in 1492. Players take control of one of several European countries, and over the course of 300 years attempt to expand dominance through force, finances, and where possible, diplomacy. Some 1,500 provinces are present, and gamers can pause at any time to plan their next course of action.
