Comic Boom for kids
Known for its comic-book and animation software, Toon Boom says it has designed a comic book application for children. Comic Boomincludes unlimited drawing placement, allowing kids to quickly design four-panel comic strips to post on blogs, websites or saved as PDF or JPG files. The company says the product features an easy-to use interface, and built-in clip art.
Toon Boom says the application opens the door for kids to "the very imaginative comic strip world." Comic Boom ships with drawing tools, comic dialogue "bubbles" and other clip art, and was "designed for web comics." The product uses the Toon Boom drawing engine with vector pencil art that can be reused with no loss in quality.
Comic Boom supports Power PC and Intel Macs running OS X 10.4 or higher or Windows Vista or XP with QuickTime Player installed. The company recommends adding a Wacom Graphics Tablet for optimized artwork creation. Comic Boom is available now for $20.
