Apple TV 2.1 updates include Wish List, more
Features of the new Apple TV 2.1 firmware are wider than previously expected, testing has revealed. Aside from MobileMe galleries and security updates, the major new feature is the Wish List, which lets users identify titles for later buying or renting. Once a movie is added to the list from its splash page, an option also appears on the main menu next to the Top Movies and Rented Movies selections.
The software further adds dynamic playlists, eliminating the need to manually sync with iTunes to force changes. Lastly, thumbnails of album art are displayed when browsing music, along with the duration info for each track.

Photo Viewing Improved
Another nice new feature is that choosing a photo album no longer throws you directly into a slideshow; instead, you're presented with thumbs of your photos in the same way that movie posters are displayed.
Not news anymore...
All of this info was expressed in user comments in the AppleTV item posted last week.
Missing - HD Trailers
One feature I can't find in the 2.1 software is the selection to view on HD trailers. Previously, you selected something like "Movies -> Trailers -> HD Only". Now, once you select trailers, you get to an alphabetically sorted page of movie posters and the only way to tell if a trailer is in HD is to select the movie to see what options you have. Grrrrr....

Good Bad
My favorite feature is when searching podcasts you can now choose to view Audio podcasts only, Video podcasts only, or both.
:D Awesome!
However, in the Movies Tab the Documentaries Genres is still dysfunctional only displaying 6 documentaries :(

INTERNET RADIO
The coolest feature is the Internet Radio. And not just the radio stations that are built-in iTunes. ANY mp3-based Radio stations work if they work in iTunes. You even get a nice icon when the radio is playing. Also you can browse the menu while the radio is playing. Very cool! I've been waiting for this feature from the day ONE. Thank you Apple!!!
HD Trailer is not missing
HD Trailer is not missing. It's just merged with the original trailers list. If the selected trailer has HD version, you would have two choices (buttons) just like movie rental.
