Friday, July 11thOCZ intros Elixir gaming keyboard in Alchemy range
Computer memory and component maker OCZ announced the addition of a new Elixir range of gaming keyboards to its product line-up. As the first product in the recently-introduced Alchemy line, the Elixir keyboard sports 10 tri-mode macro keys programmable to one of three custom profiles, and a mode selection that switches between standard and user-defined key configurations. OCZ promises the Elixir will be soon be followed by mice, more keyboards and other Alchemy-badged PC gaming accessories.
Other features incorporated to make gaming easier include membrane tactical keys that are covered with a rubber coating. This, for the most part, helps extend the keyboard's lifespan to 5 million cycles. Multimedia program control is via eight shortcut buttons, with web browsing made easier thanks to seven Internet hotkeys.
The Elixir has a USB connection for Windows XP SP2 or newer PCs, and features an extra USB port for plugging in additional USB devices. It is available in stores now, priced at $30.
