Goya Pty updates BaseElements for Filemaker Pro
Goya Pty has introduced BaseElements 2, an upgrade to its FileMaker developer-tool for analyzing and documenting FileMaker database solutions. BaseElements provides a cross-reference of every element in a solution and helps developers find and fix errors, track issues, document changes. BaseElements 2 is redesigned, with a new interface, consolidated into a single file, and a number of new improvements and additions. A single-user license of BaseElements is $500, while a multiple-user license is $1300, with a 30-day trial available. It requires FileMaker Pro Advanced 8.0 or higher, with 8.5 required for 100-percent functionality.
Other features added to BaseElements 2.0 are fully FileMaker 9 compatible layouts, new link layouts (for quick jumping from item to item) and a new Consolidation Report. The developers have also added new Error, Unreferenced and Warning reports as well as a new Calculations table (to search solution wide in all calculations), a new notes table and new layouts for Variables and Plugins. BaseElements has a completely updated import process with clearer progress and fewer processing steps and a Smart Search feature to limit searches to the current analysis.
BaseElements v1 is still available; both versions have discounts (20%-40% off discounts) available until July 17th, to coincide with DevCon 2008.
