Case-Mate: 3G accessories

Case-Mate says it will have a complete line of cases and accessories available Friday when the iPhone 3G goes on sale. The company says it’s releasing seven products for the new iPhone, including Italian leather, carbon-fiber leather and clear polycarbonate cases, silicon “Second Skins,” plastic film covers, screen protectors and a privacy screen.

The Signature Line Italian leather cases are built around an impact-resistant shell, and retail for $35. Case-Mate has also unveiled luxury cases made from special “Carbon-Fiber Leather" wrapped around an hard shell. The fiber acts as a lubricant, keeping the leather soft. The Carbon FIber line sells for $50. Both models come with screen protectors.

Case-Mate’s clear polycarbonate “Naked Line” cases allow full access to the iPhone through an “electrostatic touch-through screen” while shielding it from damage. They sell for $35.00. The company’s “Second Skin” cases are made of anti-bacterial silicon and come with a screen protector and cleaning cloth. Second Skin cases ship with a black base and three interchangeable colors (red, blue and pink) at $25.00. And for those who want the bare minimum, the “Clear Armor” line covers the iPhone with military-grade 3M film, for $20.

Case Mate has two screen protection products for the new iPhone. "Privacy Screen" narrows the field-of-view on the iPhone screen to prevent eavesdropping, and sells for $20. Case-Mate’s regular iPhone Screen Protectors come three to a pack with a cleaning cloth for $10. All of the new products are available online or at ATT stores nationwide.
